In 2008, I opened the first art entertainment studio in Atlanta. I have spent many years having fun and painting with guests in Atlanta and all over the globe. I am blessed with a talented team of artists. I look forward to meeting and painting with you. I hope to inspire your inner artist. Paint Mix & Mingle with Canvas by U!
Painting is not about perfection but rather letting your inner artist out, expressing your feelings and having fun in the process!
There is nothing like the feeling of starting your evening looking at a blank canvas and leaving 2-3 hours later with an amazing painting! That’s the reason that I love teaching at Canvas By U. Whether customers have never painted before, or are just starting to get back into an old hobby, there is such a great sense of accomplishment in creating something wonderful.
Amy has worked with our studios for 5 years. She is a mother of three, lives in East Cobb and has a passion to encourage others and share her love of art. Her favorite saying is “Do small things with great love”.
Knowing that I wanted to be an artist ever since I could remember led me on very different creative paths. I worked in ad agencies as a graphic designer and currently am a professional watercolor and acrylic artist doing commission work and displaying in galleries.
Never did I imagine, after starting to work at Canvas by U, that I would love teaching as much as I do! I look forward to each and every class. Not only do I work with a very talented and energetic group, but in a fun and creative atmosphere doing the things I enjoy the most…painting and socializing.
Mollie is an engaging, fun, and relaxed instructor. She enjoys seeing customers loosen up, explore, and express their personalities while creating their paintings. Mollie also teaches art in an elementary school and in her free time she can be found on the local art fair circuit or exploring the outdoors with her daughter and dog.
I am an artist at heart, but I have taken many roads to get here. When I was younger I first started sketching and drawing things for fun, and then turned my focus to writing poetry and short stories. I played as many sports as I could through high school and college, and graduated from Valdosta State University in May 2010 with a Bachelors degree in Marketing. In between working, writing, sports, and school, I also participated largely in my sorority. I have always had a passion for creativity and have found such an amazing outlet through painting. Through this job I am able to challenge myself and others to try new and exciting ways to unleash the artist within. It is so wonderful to see the elation on children and adults faces once they have completed their first piece of art. I consider Canvas by U! to be my happy place and hope that you will come and join me for an enjoyable and entertaining experience!
